The world is super duper crazy right now! It spins and spins and makes my head go all dizzy! Sometimes I just want my mommy or daddy to tell me what to do. If you know what I mean, even though I’m an adult, finding your way in 2025 is a big deal right now, with all this tech world AI everywhere, you feel like. What am I even doing? Do I even exist anymore in this world? I talked to my friends at recess and we figured out some really good ideas! How to stay balanced in a way like the Stoics did in ancient times.
Finding yourself in 2025 is about more than just setting goals, it’s about embracing change and growth. In a world that moves faster than ever, finding yourself requires slowing down, reflecting on your values, and letting go of what no longer serves you. Sometimes, finding yourself means stepping outside your comfort zone, trying new experiences, and allowing yourself to evolve. The key to truly finding yourself is to stay curious, be patient, and trust that every step you take, even the uncertain ones, is leading you somewhere meaningful. Finding yourself is the key to your survival kit in this chaotic world.
No more yucky lies!
There are sooooo many people saying stuff that’s not true. It’s like when Tommy said he has a pet dinosaur, and I believed him, but then my big sister said dinosaurs are all dead. Now when someone tells me something, I think “Hmmmm, are they trying to trick me?” I listen to my tummy feelings. If my tummy feels weird about something, it’s probably not true. And it’s okay to change your mind! I used to think broccoli was gross, but now I think it’s okay if it has cheese.
Be like my Gumby toy!
You know my Gumby?
He’s green, and you can bend him all around, but he doesn’t break! The best people aren’t just the smartest or strongest ones in my class. They’re the ones who don’t cry when things change. My teacher changed our seats last week, and I was like, but then I got to sit by Emma, who shares her crayons! Try learning new stuff every month, like I learned to tie my shoes! I also tried coding on my dad’s computer.
I made the little cat move across the screen and it was AWESOME! Now I want to make video games when I grow up! You see, this is the story where you are the main figure, what you want to do or discover, when you do that, the discovery of yourself will come within you, from the inside, not the outside, Yes, once we were kids and all of a sudden we are adults, but there is tiny mode inside of us that will remain a kid forever.
Keep your brain happy and safe!
Your brain is super duper important! It’s like your most special toy that you can’t ever replace. I deleted this app on my tablet because it made me feel grumpy every time. If something makes you feel bad, don’t do it! That’s what my mom says. I like going outside and climbing trees instead of watching videos all day. When I touch real trees and grass, my brain feels all calm and happy! Yesterday I found a really cool bug under a rock and it was way better than any bug on TV! As long as you keep your brain clean from all this junk and nastiness we you’re not gonna feel bad about yourself, and your entire body feels how it’s supposed to feel.
Talk to real people a whole bunch!
The best days aren’t the ones where I check off every task on my to-do list. The best days are when I spend time with friends or call my grandma just to chat. I love sharing stories and hearing theirs, it’s what really makes life meaningful. Sometimes I forget to reach out, but whenever I do, it’s always worth it. So take a moment and text your friends, give them a call, or even meet up for coffee. That connection is way more important than the endless cycle of responsibilities like taxes and emails.
Do things that make your heart feel big!
Find something that matters to you and do something about it. I’ve always loved animals, so I helped my dad drop off old blankets at the dog shelter. Seeing how excited those dogs were made my whole day and honestly, it felt pretty great to do something good.
I also read to my little brother, even though he doesn’t fully understand the stories yet. It’s a small act, but it makes me feel like I’m contributing in a real way. Helping, no matter how small, feels so much better than just sitting around worrying or getting caught up in bad news.
The truth is, you don’t need to be an expert or have everything figured out to make a difference. Nobody has all the answers, not my boss, not world leaders, not even the smartest people I know. We’re all just doing our best. So when I don’t know exactly what to do, I focus on what feels right, and that’s usually a good place to start.
What’s one tiny baby step you can do right now? Maybe share your snack with someone? Or pick up trash at the park? Or call your grandma? Little things can make your heart feel so so big!
I bet if everybody did little kind things, the whole world would be happier! Even in 2025, when everything is crazy and computers do weird stuff and grown-ups are always worried. We could all just be nice and share our cookies and help each other when we fall down on the playground. That’s what my teacher says would make the world better.
So listen to your tummy feelings about what’s true, be bendy like Gumby when things change, keep your brain happy with trees and bugs instead of screens, talk to your friends a whole bunch, and do helpful things that make you feel like a superhero! That’s how to be happy even when the world is spinning too fast!
There was a time when a big storm was coming, and I felt anxious about it. My dad told me, “We can’t stop the rain, but we can build a strong umbrella.” That stuck with me.
In a way, that’s what all of these small acts of kindness and purpose are like: building a sturdy, colorful umbrella in a world that can sometimes feel stormy. And the best part? We don’t have to keep it to ourselves. We can share that shelter with the people around us, offering support, comfort, and a little bit of light when things get tough.
Do you want to know what I’m going to do today to make the world better? I’m going to draw a picture for my neighbor who is old and can’t go outside much. Pictures make everyone happy! What are YOU going to do? I bet you have super good ideas too!
